How can an ecosystem of products, tools, and services work efficiently and improve constantly? How do we make it seamless when an AI layer is introduced into the ecosystem? The challenge isn't making AI powerful; it's making AI trustworthy, helpful, and human. I specialize in aligning the team with complex end-to-end systems while maintaining the ability to zoom in to the microscopic level.

  • Conversational AI & Natural Language Interfaces, including voice interfaces for the AskResearch framework

  • Recommendation Systems & Personalization feature design for the umbrella of tools

  • Human-AI Interaction Frameworks and Workshop Facilitations in collaboration with the AI pillar

  • AI Ethics & Responsible AI Design - founding member of IBM AI Ethics for Design consortium

  • Designed tools for engineers and researchers to train, maintain, and fine-tune the multi-agent AI framework

  • Process audit and Researcher Journey Map creation through research, making ecosystem-level improvement

  • Testing and evaluation matrix design for accuracy, transparency, and trust for the emerging technology and engineering team

  • Creating re-usable assets and design systems for emerging technology (ETE)

Impact

As I was apponted as a Design Principal at IBM Research, I focused on not only designing research application, but also on understanding the ecosystem of complex research products that is a part of expensive research lifecycle across pillars such as Quantum, AI, Lifescience etc, and design at an ecosystem level to automate, infuse AI and ML to make the process more efficient and save redundant compute resource usages - which is vital for AI research work, and all while keeping the data secured and compliant across geography.
